The Central Auto Racing Boosters (C.A.R.B.) was created in the fall of 1952. This club was formed to promote interest in and understanding of the sport of auto racing in the Kansas City area. For the last 51 years this club has helped make our sport what it has become.

After our first 50 years the Officers and Board of Directors decided to write a book about our first 50 years. The book, 50 Years of the Central Auto Racing Boosters,became available on March 1, 2003.

This book is an exciting look back at the history of racing in the Kansas City area. It covers tracks that have come and gone (Olympic Stadium, Riverside Stadium, Lakeside Speedway, I-70 Speedway, Central Missouti Speedway, and others). The book has pictures of racing gathered from several sources. The book has a listing of all the C.A.R.B supported track champions and the Officers and Board of Directors that moved this club during their time.
